The summer is coming, it's getting humid and hot here in DC. It's tough being living with octogeniarians who are ALWAYS cold and you are a middle-aged menopausal woman. God, it's hot....
Dinner and Conversation
Last night I went to dinner with my sister at Clyde's in Loudon County. For those of you in the know, that's Way Out (OTB(P), as we say in Hot Lanta) . I enjoyed it, we ate outside and it was hot, but there was a nice breeze blowing. It's been a long time since Polly and I went out to dinner. She actually said she was glad I was home. Now I know it wasn't for any altruistic reasons, but I'll take it. It's nice to be told you're wanted somewhere, no matter what the reasons.
Health Report
Daddy is much better today, he had a good nights' sleep and they've modified his medications. He's even walking faster than yesterday. Mom slept all night too, so it's all good.
Job Hunt
I spent the better part of yesterday using Polly's computer to job hunt. I found pages for employment at many cool places including several universities (American, Georgetown, Howard) and the Smithsonian. How cool would that be? There are tons of non-profits located here in DC as well as tons of hotel chains and hospitality headquarters. Very cool.
Cruisin'
Got to cruise some old haunts recently, places I used to cruise in High School. My how things change, my how I've forgotten! Don't want to cruise too much, gas is averaging around $3.15/gal so it isn't in my best interest to waste too much. But it's fun.
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
