Too many parties, too little time.

It sucks being me. I have 2 parties to go to this week, one this weekend for sure and the theater on Friday.

Parties
Saturday I went to a birthday party for one of my Hash friends and saw lots of people I hadn't seen in quite a while. It's always fun playing with old friends.
Sunday I went to a cookout with some new friends and that was lots of fun,too.

A New One on Me
I have already been lectured about my low self-esteem, and I've mentioned here several times about how much I hate online dating and my ego isn't up for that crap. Well, this is a new one on me. I got an email from some guy who wanted my picture. He was a bit arrogant in his personal information, but he emailed me and said we seemed to have much in common, could I send him my picture. As I've said, I posted one for the service, but they wouldn't use it as my main photo as it was too grainy. So I sent it to this guy, who told me one of his eclectic activities was photography and he would try to clean it up. Well, his reply was that I had a nice smile and I should take more pictures and he SENT MY PICTURE BACK TO ME. Well. As far as I could tell, he didn't do anything to it. I have a friend who was trying to convince me that it wasn't a blow off, but there was no 'Hope to hear from you soon' or 'Let's meet for drinks' or anything like that, it was 'you have a nice smile, here's your picture.' Guess he doesn't have time for 'nice smiles'.

Job Hunt
Still waiting to hear about my interview this week. I just sent my resume to a company for a HelpDesk associate, temp-to-perm, and they called me back! I am SO over qualified for this position, but it's close by and the pay is not good, but better than I'm making on unemployment. Hey, it may even be a challenge as it would be dealing with network issues and printer issues, a part of my career that could use some tweaking. Hey, wait a minute, I'm a software person, not a hardware person. So we'll see. I have to do something, the money is dwindling, but I'm getting so bored.
