Summer is Here!

Summer came in on a hot plate yesterday. It's pretty miserable, so HOT and DRY. I think my lawn may start burning. I've tried to keep up with the watering of the plants, but seems like the weeds around them soak up all the water.

Job Interview
When I finally got to the job interview yesterday, it was a great interview. I think it went quite well. It became more of an information sharing session than an interview. This opportunity would be a great chance for me to learn the ropes within a more structured IT environment about building apps. The hiring manager was thrilled to learn that I had a technical background as an actual programmer, that makes it easier to tailor specs to a more functional and understandable format. Keep your fingers crossed.

How Hot Is IT??
It's going to be close to 100 degrees today. That's pretty freekin miserable. Even the cats don't want to go outside. So I've taken to drinking iced coffee in the morning, and I'm loving it. Use the espresso machine, brew 2 shots, put in enough milk and fill the rest with ice. Works for me!

Reusable Water Bottles
Go to any hiker or outdoorsy person's home and you'll probably find 1/2 filled water bottles in the freezer. That way they can fill it up with water and have cold water to drink on thier hike or whatever. So now I've got Billions of water bottles all over the house. I've been drinking the carbonated, flavored water a lot, but need to start drinking real water.

Another use for the water bottles is for booze. Some of my friends used to drink Black Russians and carry them in a Coke bottle. You could get into anywhere with a coke! So I sometimes put vodka into a water bottle. You can carry it anywhere, buy a sprite or lemonade or something and mix your own cocktail.

So of course, you can see this one coming. I grabbed a bottle of water on the counter and took a bit swig. It was vodka. Did you know that stuff burns?!? I didn't swallow it, I probably would have passed out on the spot. I emptied the vodka into the real vodka bottle and threw that bottle away. Straight vodka isn't a good thing, especially if you're not expecting it!
