Gosh it's hot! And Humid! That's what I love about summer in HotLanta, it's completely miserable. At least in Miami we had the ocean breeze, even out west where I lived. (WooHoo, a whole 30 minutes from the beach. So far west..)
Hiking (again)
Sunday I took a river hike along the Conasauga River . What a beautiful hike! We crossed the river 4 times, picnic-ed on the rocks, played in the water then came back. The river at points was waist high, but we were told we'd get wet, so that was no suprise. The water was very cold, but very refreshing. After the hike, we ate at the only restaurant in Chatsworth, a neat little Italian restaurant. (?) The food was great, a little slow, but worth the wait. We got home about 10pm, which made for a very long day.
Memorial Day Weekend
Saturday was a tough day for me. Didn't know of much going on and it was hot, so going outside wasn't the first option for me. I did lots of little things, cleaned, did some weeding, vacuuming, just stuff. I was bored. I called a friend and left a message, but by the time she called back, I'd been into the White Russians and just wanted to stay home. But Sunday was the hike, and Monday I ended up going over to my friend Brett's house with Lynne and having 'a few cocktails' before the Memorial Day party. Didn't last too long at the party, I just didn't feel like sitting in the heat trying to look nice. LOL!
Job Hunt
Friday at the networking meeting, I got a lead for a job, and on the hike, I got a lead for one. I also met a woman who sells nature stuff on her website and she's looking for someone to make jewelry for her to sell. Hhuummm.... She's also into metaphysical stuff, which I'm a bit of a skeptic, but I could listen. Anyway, good things seem to be happening, so we'll see.
More to Come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
