It Sucks Being Me!

Yesterday, I got restless as it was a gorgeous day. I wanted to get some exercise, so I left about 2pm. When you don't have a schedule, you don't have to be anywhere at any time, so you don't get anywhere at any time!

Hiking
So I went to Stone Mountain, to do some hiking there. I knew they had at least one trail to follow, but that's about all I knew. I used to ride my bike around Stone Mountain, and I'm familiar with that road. Anyway, I started down some path, took some turns, eventually found a map and decided to take the Cherokee Trail for a bit. Well, I followed the signs, crossed the railroad tracks and immediately lost the trail. I walked on rocks for awhile, then decided to get down on the tracks and walk back to the trailhead. The 'cliff' was much higher than I thought, as I found out when I landed. I hit my knee, my hands and barely scratched my chin on the rocks and I lost my sunglasses! My pride hurt more than anything, I decided to go back. I took a wrong turn and ended up hiking most of the Cherokee Trail, all of 5.5 miles. What a beautiful day it was to be hiking! The breeze was blowing, the temeratur was just right.
The direction I took the trail I found later was the wrong direction, my hike ended up by hiking UP Stone Mountain. After hiking for a few hours, one does NOT need to be hiking up such a steep incline. I ended the hike by taking the public trail down the mountain, but by this time I had the beginings of a blister anyway.
Needless to say I was in bed early, and slept really well last night. I'm hiking on Saturday, so today I'll take it easy.

Let me tell you about my Kitty...
Miss K is the Greatest Kitty Ever. On Wednesday when it rained all day, she followed me and wouldn't leave me alone! She'd walk in front of me, in between my legs, sit on my lap, talk to me. But yesterday, she was out on the front porch all day watching nature. I wouldn't be suprised to find she has an aversion to rain, but I'll keep an eye on here. After all, she did go thru Hurricane Katrina.
Last night, I went to sleep hugging a pillow, I woke up hugging a kitty. Amazing.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
