And Then There Were Two...

Yes, I did it yesterday afternoon. When I got home, April hadn't moved from her spot on the couch and she hadn't eaten any of the food I put close to her, so that made it easier. She was ready. I'll miss those big green eyes staring at me from across the coffee table at 10pm every night. She was reminding me it was dinner time. She's now happily playing with a brand new feather toy. I've been OK with this, I agonized for a few days, but I just did a search on Rainbow Bridge. I would not do this if you are in a public place, all the links make me cry.

The Two
Now I'm left with a 'normal' number of cats, 2. I'm no longer the border line crazy lady with lots of cats, I'm just a normal crazy lady with cats. When I fed the girls last night, I split the canned food in half. Those two will become obese. I've already got a problem with Miss Katrina eating everything and Miss Remy not eating enough. It will be easier to regulate their caloric intake with just 2. (Ever tried to put a cat on a diet? Not something I'd recommend doing..)

Blast From the Past
I got a completely unexpected visit on Sunday from my neurotic hairdresser. I'm blessed, I seem to get rid of one neurotic friend and another comes along to replace them. My Hairdresser said he's back for good, he's gotten all his legal and financial issues under control. So he says. He says he's had counselling for his grief issues, but he's not in AA. He claims he doesnt go out anymore, and hasn't been to see any of his old 'friends'. He sounds and looks good, I just don't know how much to believe him. He's got a job and a car and a place to stay, so that's a major step in the right direction. I just hope he keeps his nose clean.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

So sorry to hear about April, but at least you had time to think about it and do what was best for her. Damn, I can't call you the crazy cat lady anymore.
