This has been a LONG week. Thank God it's over.
Birthday Wishes
Happy Birthday to DiDi, Margaret, Lisa, and Lynn. I have to apologize to Margaret, I can't seem to remember her birthday and we've been friends for several years. I'm getting better, I remembered the month, just had the day off by 2. I really am a good soul, I just have a memory problem. I'm writing your birthday in my new day-timer IN INK so I will never forget again...
DayTimers
Yes, I said Day-Timer. Remember, I just made it into the 21st century with the purchase of my MP3 Player, so you can bet I don't have a PDA. In the Unemployment Times, I didn't use my DayTimer as I didn't really need to know what was going on. I kept several note books for each networking meeting and I had a special 'folder' with interview information, so I didnt' really need it. When you're not sitting at a desk, you don't really need to look at a calendar. I have several calendars hanging on walls, so I didn't really need it.
But now I'm working, I'm finding I'm lost without one. I need some place to write down appointments, events, even thoughts. I need to see what I have going on in the future. (and what commitments I've made!) I bought a new insert for my daytimer, but it doesn't have a Dec 07 page, so I'm winging until Jan 1. So if I appear more lost than normal, it's because I am.
The Weather and other Intangibles
OK, so yesterday the high was 53 degrees, Sunday it will be 67. It's been cold in the morning (low 30's - low 40's) and warmer in the afternoons (upper 50's or warmer) so what does one wear? You put on a heavy sweater in the am and you're very hot in the afternoons. I've been wearing layers and putting the extra in my back pack in the afternoons. So I'm a little cold in the mornings, that just means I need to walk faster.
This Weekend
Tonite is 'A Christmas Carol' at the Shakespeare Tavern, tomorrow is lunch with a Match.com guy and Sunday is unplanned. Although I've gotten in my shipment of beads and I must create some necklaces and watches and stuff for orders. Yes, I'm a working artist now. I just need to get the starving part down...
Have a Good Weekend.
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
