Gosh, it's tough getting up in the morning! Ah well, I guess I'll get used to it.
Commuting
I've been rambling on about the Bad things about riding the bus and train, but let's talk about some of the good things. First, I'm getting some exercise. I'm figuring I walk about 1 to 1.5 miles daily, and when the weather gets cooler I plan on walking a bit more. Second, I'm not using my car. I haven't driven anywhere in 3 days. I have to do grocery shopping with the car, but on a daily basis, I don't have to drive. Third, I've made new friends. The bus driver has congratulated me because I haven't had to run for the bus all week. I talked to a great woman on the train last week, we shared stories about cooking and recipes. And one of the most important, I'm more relaxed at work. Even a bad day commuting is less stressful than driving. That being said, it's supposed to be raining tomorrow, so I'm driving to the MARTA station. I don't feel like waiting in the rain.
Dieting
I'm trying to watch my weight so I started (again) to Weight Watchers about 2 weeks ago. So far, almost 5 lbs. And it will only get better as I'm walking everyday. I've also found a really cool page www.fitday.com . Check it out, you can track all your food and exercise and it will graphically depict where all your efforts are going. Makes for interesting revelations!
OOps, dinner is ready, hopefully it won't be so long till next time, and I'll have some issues that are bothering me.
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
