So Happy It's Thursday!

I know, I promised not to say anything more about this, but I got this video from 2 friends and I find it quite relevent. It does have sound, so be aware.

Exercise
I've started walking again. Yesterday was the first day I've missed in about a week. I use my treadmill when I don't have lots of time, or I go out and walk. Outside takes longer, but the scenery is much better. I went out this morning (about 9am) and I really felt like I was snorkeling. The humidity is so high, I could feel the air. Craig Fergusen on one of his monologues last week mentioned that he was in DC and it was like breathing soup. Welcome to the South.

My Space
I've started looking in to MySpace and YouTube yesterday. I've got an account on MySpace, and as soon as I get it all set up, I'll invite y'all to be my friend. I am afraid, in some ways, of getting involved with that whole scene. I feel like one of those cavemen on the Geico commercials! These 2 sites are all about videos and downloading music and all, and my cell phone doesn't even take pictures! I do have a digital camera, but I haven't been able to find it since I got home from DC the first time. (I think it's in my car, but there's so much junk in the trunk that I can't get to it easily. Guess I'd better drop all the clothes off at the donation place!) I'm also a bit worried about being in with the wrong crowd, some of the old folks on MySpace are predators, and, as I've been saying for a long time, Guilt By Association. We'll see.

Caveman
I read where they've had to re-shoot the TV shows based on the Geico caveman. That concept, of cavemen in the modern world has so much potential but it would definately be a difficult concept. Just try to think of an amusing storyline. It's tough. Lots of people are trying to make it an allegory for racial issues, but the TV people don't want to go there. I hope the concept works, it could be hysterical.

Leonard Pitts
Check this guy out, he's one of my favorite columnists. He write some very insightful columns, and this one from yesterday was pretty good. I was going to blog all about my opinions on racism and stuff like that, but evidently anything I write can be taken the wrong way, so let's just leave it.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

I have a myspace account. You can deny people as friends. It is good. you can also only allow people to see your page if you allow them to. Youtube is just fun. you don't need to download anything. The videos play on line. I find lots of old Muppet stuff... I am just a big 5 year old...
