Seems like all I have any more are Random Thoughts, so here are some more!
Michael Vick
I promise, this is the last post I'll make on this subject. He should stay away from the NFL as long as he's on trial. When the jury makes it's judgement, then, if he's innocent, he should come back, but make most of his charity events and donations to animal causes. And win some football games.
But the major issue, as I see it, is the Coddling of Atheletes, most of which starts in college. The NFL should stop drafting troubled players that the colleges can't handle. The colleges, for their part, should stop giving atheletes special treatment. Yesterday at Arthur Blanks' press conference, Falcon University or something along those lines was mentioned, where they attempt to give their atheletes some 'life skills'. These are skills that should have been learned in college. Atheletes should be expected to attend class regularly, and pass their classes. I know they have GPA's the jocks have to meet, but do they really? If they break the law, they should be kicked off the team until they can learn to follow the rules. If they are repeat offenders, expell them from college. Yes, even rich, white, lacrosse players should be taught it's NOT OK to have strippers at a party. The atheletes have influence on the campus, they bring in lots of money for the schools, they should be held to higher standards. Gosh, maybe the schools would even build some character. Gasp!
Did you watch Arthur Blank at the press conference yesterday? Boy, he's disgusted with Michael Vick. It's almost like he's given up on him. And I agree, what a waste. He's a talented athelete, but not a terribly good human being, if these allegations prove to be true. All that money and potential, down the drain because he's trying to 'Keep It Real'. Money should change people, it should change them for the better.
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

Joe Paterno of Penn State doesn't let the players get away with anything. I heard that 2 guys got in some minor trouble, and Joe is making the ENTIRE team clean the stands after all the home games this year. and I've never heard any former Penn State players names in the news for bad stuff. (and I didn't even go to Penn State, I just really admire JoPa)
