Finally, I've finished all the cleaning and painting. Yea me!
Job Hunt
In case you didn't see yesterday, I didn't get the job in DC. At least now I know how to finish the home project, put everything back. No need to pack any more. Oh well. I have to lick my wounds for a bit, then back to the Same Old Same Old. Bummer.
Home Projects
I got up a 7am today to finish cleaning the carpet. I moved my bedroom furniture back into the master bedroom and out of the extra room so I could get in there and clean. Ever put a Queen size bed back together by yourself? I'm very pleased I didn't draw any blood on that one!
I cleaned all the area rugs too, so some of them are hanging out on the deck. The humidity isn't too bad and is supposed to drop today, so they do stand a chance of getting dry. Lynn said she'll come pick up the bedroom set I let her have on Saturday, so I'll have one empty room and one almost empty. The exciting part is, when I do get a job, I can fill them up again! ;-)
What Were They Thinking???
Early this morning, on I-20, a car was going in the wrong direction and hit another car head-on, killing at least one occupant. The wrong-way driver was driving a Jeep Cherokee and hit a Honda Accord. Oww. The Best part is the wrong-way driver was inebriated and he was WATCHING A DVD WHILE DRIVING!!!! They had a poll on Fox News, asking if DVD players should be allowed in a car. Isn't that a No-Brainer?? Manufacturing video screens for automobiles should be illegal. I've seen all these mobile DVD devices at electronics stores and really couldn't believe my eyes. I also saw a large, older model car in downtown Atlanta with the DVD player mounted on the sun-visor on the driver's side. This should NOT be allowed! I know all about personal freedoms and government interference, but this is just a tragedy waiting to happen, as did this morning. I guess natural selection will do the trick.

When I bought the SUV, I began to see the world differntly. I could now see into cars and I couldn't believe what I saw people doing while driving: watching porn, reading a book, j@&king off, getting a bj, etc...how accidents like this don't happen more often is beyond me.
