Hey, it Only Takes Time

As usual, I'm at a point where I can't seem to make a decision, so I decide not to make a decision...

Limbo
OK, I've almost gotten both spare rooms cleaned out: all the trash and junk has been taken out, the clothes in the closets are ready for donation, and it's mostly big things in the rooms like shelves, desks, and, yes, a treadmill. I've gotten some paint chips to decide on the color, so now what? I'm thinking, put everything in the middle of the room, cover it with a tarp and start the ceiling. Prior to that, spackle the walls and do the prep work.

The Plan is to purge all old stuff , paint all the bedrooms then clean the rugs. If I don't move, I already have ideas for what I want to do (when I get a job), if I do move, I can use the empty rooms for storage, and the house is one step closer to renting.

So what is the problem? Just getting started! I've gotten most of the stuff boxed, but not out of the rooms yet. I need to get rid of all the donation stuff and fill the dining room with stuff to keep. I plan on sleeping on the couch for a few days while I paint my bedroom, or setting my matress in the living room and sleeping there. What a mess this house will be for awhile. If I keep to the Plan, it will only be a few days, if I get off the Plan, I could be living in limbo for weeks. Like the commercial says, Just Do It!

Kitty Paradise
Yesterday, I went on a Box Hunt. All the liquor stores get deliveries mid-week, so they have lots of empty boxes. Liquor boxes are great, they hold enough stuff to be useful, but not too much that you can't pick them up. So I've got about a dozen or so boxes out on the front porch where the Kitties just play in. Miss K loves to walk on top of the boxes and fall in. Last night, she climbed into a box in the living room, looked out thru the holes in the side and evidently went to sleep. She crawled out about 1/2 hour later. So I try to set them up like an obstacle course, on their sides with the tops closed, upside down, just every which way. Hey, it's all about the kitties, don't you know!

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

get something called the Paint Stick for the ceilings (and it works for walls too). It is like a big syringe, so you don't have to stop so often to get more paint for the roller. For $20 or $30, it made our previous life of painting the entire house much easier.

Have you ever just considered living in a box? Whoops, wrong thing to say.
