Subber Codes

Yes, I'm suffering from one of those dreaded summer colds (subber codes). It sucks. I need to drink hot tea, it's too hot outside. I need to sleep and get over this, but the sun is out and the weather is gorgeous. I'm not one to call in sick, I never get sick, but how can I cook and make people food when I'm all stuffed up and coughing? I'm not feeling 100%, but I'm not that bad. I'm hoping yesterday was the worst...

This all came about for several reasons: First, I was around several people with a cold, second, I'm out of shape and overweight, I don't eat right, and 3, they worked me too hard. I didn't get a break for 2 days and that wore me down. (I know, if I were in better shape, that wouldn't be a problem, but it is what it is!) They don't pay me enough to work that hard.

Job Hunt
Got some good leads, I'm attempting to work them today. I'm off to the library shortly to do some work in a quite, organized place. I've gotten calls from several head hunters, but no interviews as yet. I'm going to investigate the Event Planner arena, that's something I like to do.

I'm trying to narrow down my 'target' companies, you need to have a small group to deal with. I'm thinking hotels or hospitality or even food to work as a business analyst. I'm also thinking smaller companies or even contract firms. (If you have any suggestions, email me!)

Visiting the Parental Units
I will be off to DC next week to deal with the parents. I've got to get together with the sisters to figure out what to do with Mom and Dad, if not now then in the future. They are both in their mid-80's and things start happening, even if they are in total denial. I'm so looking forward to this trip (NOT!)

I will be stopping near Roanoke to visit an old friend. I'm looking forward to that, she lives in a beautiful part of the country and I haven't seen her in awhile.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
