A Close Tragedy

We had some excitement here on Wednesday night, and it almost resulted in a true tragedy, but all is well. And I have some more homeowner stuff to spend my money on!

Wednesday
I had my front porch screened-in a few years ago, basically to let the kitties enjoy being outdoors safely. In all the years I've had it, not one kitty has escaped. Until now. Miss Katrina had been working the screen door for a while, I've noticed the screen was getting pulled and torn, so on my way home Wednesday, I was trying to figure out a way to fix it. When I finally got home, I saw that it was too late, she had escaped.

I wasn't too scared, I know cats will be found when they want to be found, and I knew she wasn't as tough as she thinks she is. I did find her a bit later that night, just hanging out in the front garden. She hissed as I picked her up and continued to hiss as I brought her in, but made no effort to be put down. I put her in a room all by herself for a bit, till she calmed down. She then came out of the room, drank some water, then went to sleep on my bed. All night. She didn't even get up to eat! What a day she must have had. I have no idea how long she'd been out. She was a bit pissed at me the next day for not letting them out on the porch, but she got over it.

A Comedy Tonite!
I'm going to the Tavern tonite to see 'Love's Labors Lost' with some friends. It should be fun, it always is going to the Tavern.
