I just need to vent...
1. Get off your God Damned cell phone when you get to the cashier.
2. Use the divider things. It helps the cashier. It's a mindless job, and when you're on a roll checking people out, you just keep reaching for the next item. It's time consuming and annoying to have to delete items from the order because they belonged to the next person in line.
3. Have your check filled out before the cashier is done ringing in the order. Don't wait until you get the total to start looking for your checkbook, credit card or debit card.
4. If you are a WIC customer, let the cashier know before they start ringing it up.
5. Don't go through the express line with your WIC checks.
6. If you have an item you don't want, don't ditch it in the magazines. Give it to the cashier and they can deal with it, or put it back where you found it.
7. If you don't have a lot of money, keep a tab on what you're buying. If you can't do that, place the items of the most importance first and tell the cashier when you get close to the limit. Don't wait until you get the total, realize you have too much stuff and start digging through the bags for items to put back.
8. If you are an EBT (Food Stamps) customer, you can't buy hot food with your EBT. It won't take it. You will have to pay cash.
9. If you don't like the price of an item, don't take it out on the cashier. They are completely powerless to change prices.
10. Ask for your Senior Citizen's discount if you qualify. Cashiers don't always remember, and sometimes in asking, they get yelled at.
11. If you have any problems with the staff, tell the manager. That's how the store improves their customer service. The easy way is to just walk out and never come back, but tell the manager.
12. At least learn enough English so you can understand a grocery transaction.
13. If the store hours are 7am - 10pm, that means they close at 10pm. Don't come in at 9:55pm to do a weeks worth of shopping. The store employees don't really mind staying late, but they do have families and other things to do, just like you. If you must do your shopping that late, find a 24-hour store.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
