It's Almost December!

Yesterday it was 70 degrees and December starts on Friday. I'm SOOO confused!

Long Weekend
I had Friday, Saturday and Sunday off, so I played. For Turkey Day, my friend Barbara and I couldn't decide what to do, so we found a restaurant in Decatur that was open. Very few customers, our waitress wanted to go home to cook dinner for her family. I ordered a Mojito and Barbara ordered a Cosmopolitian. Excellent drinks! Dinner was good, too. About 1/2 way thru the second Mojito, a couple sat down behind us and within a few minutes, the guy walked by and laughed. He was my current boss. What a blast! Only 6 people in the whole place, and he sat behind me.

Friday was 'movie' night, but it turned out to be gab night. Erin and Melissa came over for a few drinks, lots of laughs and some sneezes. We never watched the movie.

Saturday was a nice day so I went outside to work in the garden. More on that later.

Sunday LeighAnn and Sonia and I went out to comfort Sonia in the loss of her companion of 8 years, Devo. We ended up in VaHi, shopping and drinking. (Imagine!) We found a place that had $3.50 pitchers of margaritas.

And I work tonite at 5pm. Whoo Hoo.

Speaking of work.
I spoke with the store manager on Friday when I went to pick up my paycheck. He wasn't aware of my interest in all things wine, so I asked him about having a wine tasting at the store. The State of Ga won't allow that, but we discussed other issues. He said there's a Meal Planner position open with someone who can connect with the public. I guess he knows I can talk. So that could be a new career, meal planning and matching wines and cheeses. I'm excited. Now if I could only make more money....

I'm in the Paving Business
I pulled up all the paving stones in my front yard, to clean out all the grass, put down some landscape fabric and widen the walkway. I have to go get the border pavers today, so another delima arises about getting them home. I only need about 72, but I'll be looking at about 80. Unless a pallet is cheaper. How many in a pallet? Will they fit in my car? I love it, hauling in a Honda Accord SE. Class all the way... It's supposed to rain on Thursday, so I need to get this done before then.

The Parties Start!
Next Friday there's a party, Saturday there's a party, and Sunday a Port Tasting. The next week is the Tavern, a Dinner party. Such a Social Butterfly.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
