Hump Day!

Mid-week and all is well, I guess. Not much to report about jobs, not much happening. The jobs are there, the interest is not. I need to get over this frustration.

All Parents Nightmare
I heard a crash, then some foot steps running down the hall. I went into the living room to check out what had happened, and Miss K (who else?) had just knocked an empty glass over, but those footsteps down the hall were the giveaway. I remember when my parents had their first kitty, TC. We were all in the living room, we heard a crash in the kitchen and the cat comes into the living room, sits in the middle of the room and looked around as if saying 'What was that!' He looked guilty as hell, but was playing it cool.

Crime
According to the news, the crime rate is down in Atlanta. According to the Washington Post, 3 kids were killed this week alone in DC, all under 15. What's going on? How are we going to stop this stupidity? Gun control? Throw money at them? Who are 'them' anyway?

Politics
These guys are masters of BS, I don't care which side of the fence you sit. They only give lip service to fixing things, then take your money to get reelected. I've always had issues with the politicians who pushed thru all these laws to keep minors from killing themselves behind the wheel of the car. A driver with a learner's permit can only drive with one adult in the car, a liscensed driver under 18 can only drive with 3 others in the car, blah, blah, blah. Did they approve any more money to the police departments to enforce these laws?

And the immigration issue, are they really planning on fencing in the southern borders of the United States?? Are they insane? This is only a symbolic gesture to satisfy 'constituants' so they can get re-elected. Enforce laws against the business' that have the jobs that the immigrants are coming here for. That would solve at least part of the problem, and save the taxpayers money.

Pay attention to what your local and national representatives are proposing. Is this really going to solve the problem or will it get them re-elected? The public is so gullible, or is it the press that keep sensationalizing trivial issues? How else will the news get out if not for the press?

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
