Another Beautiful Day!

I love this weather! The cooler nights, especially. Good sleeping weather! Although the kitties are acting strang(er). They don't seem to want to sleep or hang out on the front porch. When it's 100 degrees outside and the humidity is 100%, they'll be out there asleep in the sun. Go figure.

Productive Day
I cleaned all the litter boxes and the toilet this morning, all before breakfast. I already 'dun good' for the day, so if I do nothing else, I've still accomplished something. When you've got nothing to do, nothing gets done.

Camping, Red Dresses and Beer
So far this week, I've done very well on my attempt to eliminate sugars from my diet. I'm not doing the low carb-thing, I'm just trying to eat less sugar and so far so good. Around 8 pm is when I really start craving the stuff, but it soon passes. I've also laid off the booze. OK, so I'm getting to be a bit of a hypochondriac in my old age (finally!) but I'm realizing some things have to change or I could be in trouble. So I'm managing to eat about every 2 hours, drink water and exercise. I feel good, the weather is certainly helping. Which leads us to the Annual Red Dress Run this Saturday. Always lots of fun, I think I may pass on this one. Besides not having a Red Dress, I don't want to drink that much beer. I was able to do the Peachtree Pub Crawl with a minimum of beer being consumed, but I just don't think I want to take that chance. I don't feel like drinking all afternoon. (I know that's not true Hash-speak, but that's it!) And as much as I hate to say it, I have to watch my money, and $20 to do something you don't really want to do is kinda stupid.
Camping the next weekend is another conundrum. (<= not a wine!) IMHO, the way the campout is being presented more like a Boot Camp than a relaxing weekend. It's usually a fun weekend, especially Friday before all the troops get there, but it's all about drinking, and I'm just not sure I want to do that much or at all. And the cost isn't really in my budget. But I love camping in weather like this, by the lake. Being serenaded by a drunk Russian 'Who can take a chain saw....'

Job Hunt
A few phone calls about my resume, but no real action. So what else is new? I keep looking for networking groups and I've got a lead on a Telecom networking group meeting next week, but I need more ideas. What do I want to do when I grow up???

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

If I get done on Sunday at the 2Day Breast Cancer Walk in time, I want to go up to Hartwell for the afternoon. (for the hash) You could ride with me? Email me. Did you decide on a Shakespeare night? I forgot to ask Allan when he wants to go.
