More Gay Drama
Gay men making decisions is a difficult thing. Or maybe it's just this Gay Man. My hairdresser is a mess. He needs to be taken care of, and I'm not enough of a nurturer to do that. So if any gay male is reading this and wants someone to take care of, contact me.
I Hate NetFlix
I'm only saying that because I'm getting such quality stuff that I'm watching way too much TV. I'm now starting the 2nd season of Carnivale. I was getting bored with it, but the last 2 shows of season 1 were tense and left too many questions unanswered, that I'm going to have to watch season 2.
Finances, bah humbug
I finally got my stuff together and go a budget figured out. I talked with my Financial Planner and we are now going to have to start selling assets, which means I'll get hit with Capital Gains taxes next year, but the other option is to sell my house. The budget is pretty severe, don't expect to see me out and about too much any time soon. I don't want to deplete all the assets I've worked so hard to build over the last 20 years, but I'm not real keen on living in my car, either.
Job Training
I don't have all the details about this, but in a cursory glance at the Dept of Labor website, it looks like I can take several classes to assist my job effort thru the government. I don't know how this works, but the list of available classes showed some things I could do, like get an MBA or a PMP. The bad part of this is that I have NO problems with the government picking up the tab. How many kids have I supported thru my taxes over the years? How many families? And Deadbeats? I don't have kids, I've never been married, so I've been paying the highest rate of taxes in my tax bracket my entire working career. This little expense for the taxpayers will help improve my odds of getting a higer paying job, so I can pay Even More taxes. How's that for logic??

and - get a government job while you are at it, then they can never get rid of you! Have you EVER heard of anyone with a government job getting let go? (not a contractor, we know they love to hire those & then make those jobs go away).
