Confusion Reigns

Murderers arrested, Fountain of Youth discovered, Bob Barr criticizing the GOP, what is this world coming to?

JonBenet's Murderer arrested
It only took 10 years, but what the hell? This case has always amazed me, so many questions unanswered. I don't mean to dishonour the dead, but I'll bet this little girl was a real brat. And I'll bet mom and dad were oblivious to her brattiness. Not being a parent, and not being a rich parent with a large house, I've always questioned how your child could be beaten, raped and murdered in your own house and you don't know it. And naming your daughter after your husband? I've always had a sneaking suspicion that Mr. Ramsey was a controlling, manipulating man and had Patsy under his thumb. So many things were covered up or 'lost' there had to be some type of conspircy here. And the fact that this guy just gave up. A few months after Patsy Ramsey died. Hhuummm. My Theory: Patsy and this guy, John Karr were having an affair and wanted to run away together. So John was going to kidnap JonBenet, write a ransom note for the exact amount of cash he (and Patsy) knew that Mr. Ramsey had in the house and get outta there. It sounds outlandish, but this case is so unreal, I wouldn't rule out anything.

David Copperfield and the Fountain of Youth
Evidently, the magician David Copperfield has discovered the Fountain of Youth on one of the islands he purchased recently. I tried to Google him to get a newspaper article on this, but I came across another article on him stating that he will impregnate a girl on stage without sex. I stopped looking.

Bob Barr
Yesterday in the AJC, Bob Barr wrote a very interesting article on 'What if the British had won the Revolution'. It was actually all about personal rights and how the British don't really have them. Bob Barr states that the current administration is trying it's damndest to negate the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, especially in relation to the current spying the administration is doing on the citizens. He also states that there have been MANY times in our history where our security has been threatened, in much more serious ways than 9/11 (War of 1812, Civil War, WWII) but the politicians and public choose not to dismantle the Bill of Rights. Read the article, it's a good read and it Makes you Think.

Satire
Another of my favorite columnists, Leonard Pitts, wrote a very good article about a satire. Satire is defined as 'a technique of writing or art which exposes the follies of its subject (for example, individuals, organizations, or states) to ridicule, often as an intended means of provoking or preventing change.' (Wikipedia) . In this article, Leonard Pitts says that 'real life has become ridiculous and outrageous to a degree that often makes parody superfluous.' and the examples he uses are great illustrations. This is so true. The topics discussed above can't be any more ridiculous. Except for maybe this article. (I love reading the South Florida Sun-Sentinel local section. People in South Florida do the strangest things. Read any book by Carl Hiaasen)

Let me tell you about my kitty, continued
I'm sure you've heard me talk about Miss Katrina, The Greatest Kitty Ever. (Full Name: Miss Katrina L. Berber) She was found in Biloxi (Miss) after hurricane Katrina (her first name). I still remember this little, skinny kitty crawling out of a 6' pile of debris and mud and rubbing up against anyone who would pay attention to her. She also crawled up under a house that was knocked off it's foundation and took a nap in the mud and gunk. I discovered her yesterday, in the middle of my bed, stretched out on her back on my clean clothes sound asleep. Think she's adjusted to captivity?

Job Hunt
Still a resounding Nothing. Seems the one interview I had that went well isn't interested anymore.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

Bob Barr - wasn't he a crazy republican when he was in office? Is he changing his ways?
