Still Living For The Weekends

Just a month ago, I was b*tching about living for the weekends, but now, even unemployed, I still live for the weekends. I just don't have to get up and go to work on Monday!

Hiking, Biking, Gardening, RenFesting
Sorry I didn't post on Friday, I was too busy. LOL! I took a 3 mile walk early, then decided I had to cut the grass and while I was at it, plant the hydrangea's that a friend gave me. I also moved 2 buford hollies I had and attempted to 'design' a landscape for my hill. I have an annoyingly steep hill on the side of my driveway that I want to cover with something so I don't have to mow it anymore. So I dug up billions of liriope to plant there, but now I have to develop a pleasant design. I think I'll follow the curve of the driveway, a gradual curve.

Saturday I took a 12 mile bike ride around Peachtree City with 18 of my closest friends. (Atlanta Ski Club) It was a beautiful day, beautiful ride and my bike still works! So I'll start that again.

Sunday I went to the Ga Renaissance Festival with Atlanta Single Hikers. There were only 6 of us, but it was fun! Again, a nice day, not too hot, suprisingly not crowded. Ded Bob was back, so I got to watch the Ded Bob Sho. An annoyingly rude puppet, but sharp, witty humor. I dressed up in costume, and got places sunburn that haven't seen the light of day in a while. Heaving busoms and men in tights is what the Ren Fest is all about. But I saw a lot of SYT (Sweet Young Things) dressed as belly-dancers. Just to show off their flat stomachs. B*tches.

Exercise and clearing the mind
I've been doing some exercising lately, paticularly hiking. I'm trying to keep this up, I need to get some pounds off and increase my endurance. I've taken a 5-mile hike twice in the last week, so I'll try that at least once a week. Then I plan on hiking up Stone Mountain. That's tough. So this means I'll get down to a smaller size, only to get a job and pack on the pounds again. Such is life.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
