OK, So It Sucks Being Me...

Right now, I'm sitting on my deck outside, looking for a job. (not THAT kind of job!) All I need now is a cocktail in my hand and a cabana boy....

I've got a cunning plan!
I've got a schedule all worked out, but I kinda missed it today. I want to get up and take a walk and be out of the house by 9am. This morning, I was being used as a matress by 2 of my kitties, Remy on my tummy and Miss K using my shoulder with her head on my pillow. Such a photo op! But I did get up earlier, made it to Java Monkey to read the paper, then to the library. So it's a start. Baby steps.

Keith Richards
Rolling Stones guitarist extrodinaire, voted 'Rock Star Most Likely To Die' for the last 40 years by any number of media institutions, fell out of a coconut tree in Fiji. That pretty much says it all.

Pitfalls of gardening
I spent pretty much all weekend outside working in my garden. I dug up TONS of liriope (monkey grass), pulled billions of violets and raked and hauled and lifted. My back hurts, I was dead tired everynight and last night I went to sleep with an ice pack on my elbow. I'm a mess. But my yard is taking some type of shape. I'm doing this now because 1) I have time and 2) this time around, I may have to sell my house. So I raked and planted and pulled weeds. The weather was very nice, cool enough so I could have worn long sleeves, but did I??? NOOOOooooo. I now have poison ivy all over my arms. I just need to be on the same block as poison ivy and get some.

Names from the Past
This past weekend, on Friday night, there was a terrible accident in Lilburn where a 21-year-old ran his car into 2 others and killed at least one persone, putting himself and his passenger into the hospital in critical condition. About 6 years ago, I met a guy through the ski club named Steve. He had just divorced and he had a son in high school named Corey. That was the name of the 21-year-old driver. I hope it wasn't the same person. Steve and I met some friends one morning at a Dim Sum in Chamblee. He missed the exit on 285, pulled to the right side and BACKED UP to get the exit. I never rode with Steve again. I remember him saying that he was going to have to teach his kid to drive. So ironic.

A New Experiment
This blog has taken a bit longer to type in that normal. As I mentioned at the start, I'm sitting on my deck enjoying the day. Well, Remy and Katrina are out here also. This is a new experience for Miss K as I don't hang out on the deck as much as I used to since I got the front porch. So as I'm typing, I'm watching the little devil try to hauge if she can jump down or where she can climb. She's walking thru all my flowers, not around them. Some are going to get knocked off the railing. I've got to go and make sure she doesn't hurt herself. Yeah, like that's going to happen! She's a cat, they sort of know their limitations...

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
