I'm attempting to set a schedule or myself. I really wanted to get out of bed today at 7am, but that didn't happen. So now I have to plan to have a shorter day. God, I love this life!
Tasks Today
Today I've got to take April to the vet to get her blood levels checked and to get more thyroid meds for her. The vet is within walking distance and I need to save gas and get exercise. But the cat carriers I own aren't really conducive to walking long distances. I need to get a soft-sided sherpa bag type carrier but I don't have one so I must make do. Will a gym bag work? She's not all that big anymore, but she won't be able to see anything out of the bag. If I had a Little Red Wagon, I could use that but all I have is a garden cart and that won't work. I'm thinking of trying to 'walk' the cat, put her on a leash, but I'm afraid I'll end up carrying her anyway. She's an indoor cat, and on the rare occasions she gets outside, she heads straight for the flowers to eat. It will be a very long trip to the vet. So we're back to the gym bag. Will I be arrested for animal abuse?
Then I must away to the bank to sort out all my financial obligations. In other words, deposit all my checks.
A New Delimma
I took some pictures into Target for development last week and when I picked them up, they weren't mine. It was a lovely family vacation to somewhere out west, but not mine. The 'Customer Service' people at Target couldn't help, they suggested I call the CS Number on the ticket. I called that number and they told me that Target has to send them back to the developers with a note with all the information and a description of my pictures. I'm sure they were all of the kitties (I AM the cat lady), so I'd like to get them back as they probably have some of the last shots taken of Misty. So I have to go back to Target and talk to them again. I love informed people.
County Services
I just love when the trash truck or the yard waste trucks come down my street. It's a dead-end street with no turn around, so they back down the road. Some take their time, others come hauling down the road a quite a clip. And the noise!
Job Hunt
I did nothing yesterday. I wanted to at least get the grass cut before the rain, but I didn't even do that. I did find some wicked solitaire games though. I talked to my friend Terry for about 2 hours which is always the case when he calls. He runs job seeking seminars for those 'in transition' in the hi-tech arena, you know those folks that have been with the same company for 10 years (or more) and all of a sudden find themselves without a job. Believe me, the job market has changed DRASTICALLY from when I first went job hunting. So he's got some great ideas, some a pretty aggressive, but he's helping me put together a resume that will be better directed at what I want and not what I've done.
What I Want to Do Today
It's a beautiful day today, and I'd love to get outside to do some work, but I have to temper that as I have to be somewhere later tonite. I'm an extreme person, I'm either extremely not doing anything, or I'm going 100% and don't want to stop. I try to complete tasks the day I start them as I'm not sure when I'll have time to finish. So I'd like to get some areas prepared for a tiller, then rent the tiller sometime during the week to chew up ground. So I'm thinking Monday will be ground chewing day, if it isn't raining.
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
