It's that time of year again when my black car becomes tinged with yellow, when my eyes become red and irritated and I sneeze and sneeze and sneeze and sn.... Thank God this only happens for a few weeks once a year. Today it's tree (oak) and grass pollen, tomorrow, who knows?? Pretty sad when the vegetation gets more action than you....
Another sleepless night
Don't have too many of those, but once in awhile, I can't seem to relax. I was asleep early enough, but I woke up about 2:30 and tossed for awhile. Well, I really didn't 'toss', I had a kitty on my stomach and another sleeping and purring on my left side. It was cool with wind gusts last night, and I was worried about my cabana on my deck. I've already had to replace some parts due to wind, and it's difficult to wind-proof it alone. While I was laying there worrying about the cabana, I heard several critters fighting in my backyard. They were hissing and snapping at each other, and I assumed they were possums. I had to get out of bed and close the window on the front porch and get the kitties inside as I didn't want them to be attacked by rabid possums.
So finally I went back to sleep, only to be awakened at 6am by a phone call. Usually I won't answer the phone if it rings at a weird time, and this morning I was willing to let it ring and let the answering machine pick up. My Mom usually calls early in the morning, and it occurred to me it bad news phone call, and my Mom's not too keen on answering machines. So I got up. Since I needed to get up anyway, that wasn't so bad. But, thankfully it was a wrong number.
More to come....
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

Nancy, just let me know if you need some help with any 'two-person' jobs. I'm pretty handy and after all the time we spent putting that cabana up, I would hate to see it come down. My rates are cheap, a glass of wine or two an hour.
