Another Useless Evening Spent

Isn't that from a song? I at least moved all my papers from the back room to the dining room so I can search through them for some stuff I need for the taxes. Hey, it's a step, a baby step, but a step. I can just see it now, one cat working as a paper weight, the other cat helping me look at the papers and the other kitties sleeping in the primo sleeping spots.

Shhh!! Don't tell Misty...
I've been able to get Misty to take her pill wrapped in a piece of turkey. So far, she's none the wiser. These kitties are pretty smart about what's going on. I started by crunching her pill up in some baby food and that worked for a few weeks. Then she started eating around the pill, so I started dissolving the pill in a little bit of water, then mixing it with the baby food. That worked for awhile, then she stopped eating the baby food. So I resorted to giving her the pill by hand. She was on 1/2 pill, twice a day. I told the vet that was too much stress for me, so I was giving her 1 pill a day. She suffers from ClenchedMouth Syndrome, she just won't open that small, little mouth up, and won't stay still long enough for me to pry it open. It's so much fun, holding her on the counter with one arm, trying to pry her steel jaw open with the other hand, while holding a tiny little yellow pill (or eyedropper). Opposable thumbs are one thing, but I need another arm.

Newspapers on line
What is all this about having to register to read a news article online? Go to the AJC (or most any newspaper) and attempt to read a breaking story. They ask for your name, email address, password and maybe zip code. Why? Just so I can get more junk mailed to me. What a PIA.
Now I've rediscovered all this because I deleted all my cookies on my machine here and I can't remember my password. So they send my password to my email address. What is so High Security about reading a newspaper article? What a crock.

Boss Update
I discovered the reason why this man yelled at me about forcing them to enter the employee id, he and I are the only ones with administrator rightes to add users. And I haven't done any of thses guys. So he isn't even following his own rules. So I'm working real hard to get myself fired as I've made comments on the coding style, the use of character fields for primary key indexes and now this. Even though the owners support me and understand this man is just a crotchety old man, this can't be a good thing to do.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
