Spring is almost here!

My daffodils and crocus are in bloom and the hyacynth is coming up! Soon the iris will be blooming and spring will be here! (Along with all the pollen, by that's another story!) The temperature today will be in the 70's. How I wish I could be outside playing!

I've said this before.
American Idol is NOT news. Quit including it in the newscasts.

Howard Stern vs Everyone
Howard is being sued by CBS for breech of contract. Yawn. Howard is ALWAYS being sued by someone for something. People in Atlanta can't really appreciate what all the yelling is about, he's never been on the air in this fair city. Back in the Day, before he went to New York and really made a name for himself, Howard had been fired by 2 radio stations in DC. I never listened to him until just before he left, he was a bit over the top. They replaced him with the Greaseman and I then appreciated Howard Stern. Howard's humor was a bit rough, but it was funny. Like God giving the weather forecast. Or selling one-way tickets to the Potomac River after the Air Florida crash (for which he was fired.) Then he came on the air in South Florida in the early 90's. I found that his ego had expanded disproportionally to his talent. It was all about Howard, and I found it boring. I have watched his TV show and found that to be just stupid. Robin, his sidekick since the DC days, puts up with a lot, but I'm sure she's embarrassed and angry all the way to the bank. All this being said, Howard Stern has the right to do what he's doing, just as I have the right not to listen. I will support his First Amendment rights to do whatever he wants. He's not hurting anyone, and I don't have to watch.

Spiritual Needs
I spoke with a friend yesterday and she suggested I search for a 'church family'. I agree, I need to fill some spiritual holes in my fabric. I was fairly active in the church a few years ago and my life was pretty good. I was involved in many different activities, social, work related and church related. I had many different friends and different interests. I stopped all that for a number of reasons, but mostly because I started dating someone and felt hypocritical when I'd go to church from my boyfriend's house. I was also having problems with 'organized religion' and some things they stood for. I'm interested in a 'Singles Ministry' or group that isn't too large. I went to Peachtree Presbyterian when I first came to town and that group was just too large. I'm not keen on Baptist ideology or Episcopal (Catholic Lite) ideas. If anyone has any ideas, please email me. I'm leaning towards a Community Church, or the Unity or Unitarian churches. Although Unity and Unitarian are almost a bit too 'New Age' for my tastes, I'm willing to give them a chance.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
