Ooohhh! I'm so Excited!

It's Monday again! Time for more challenges! I can't wait to see what disasters this day holds for me! I'm still furious over the events of Friday, so I will have a conversation with my boss today. He's actually in the office today and I hope the owners give him an earful!

My Exciting Weekend
Let's see, I was in bed sound asleep by 10:30 on Friday, up early and working in the garden on Saturday, asleep again by 11:30, up early and doing laundry on Sunday. The most excitment I had was when the cats got out (unbeknownst to me ) and a neighbors dog started chasing them. Misty, the sick kitty was one. I'm glad that didn't scare her to death! And of course, Miss Katrina was the other one. She got up a tree in 2 jumps. She came down in one fall. What a mess. I need a life.

Devaluing Manliness
In the AJC Online there is a short debate on this subject. I like this sentence 'What makes a man isn’t about how women act.' I've recently heard of two 'arguments' from 'men' that just blow my mind. One is a lawsuit from a 25-year-old man in Chicago who got his girlfriend pregnant, they broke up, but she kept the baby. Now she's taking him to court for child support. He wants a law to protect men from situations like this. He doesn't feel it's his responsibility, since he didn't want the baby. Why didn't he think of this about 9 months ago. He claims she told him she couldn't get pregnant. Oops.

Then there's a guy I heard on the radio representing a 'group' that insists that their date sign a 'pre-date' contract stating that if he doesn't have a good time, she will have to pay back 75% of the money he spent on the date. We all know what he means when he says 'good time'. Isn't prostitution (or pimping) against the law?

Both of these stories are examples (IMHO) of men devaluing manliness. If you don't want babies, YOU take precautions or don't have sex till you've met the right woman. If you don't want to pay for a date, don't go out. My guess is both of these guys will remain bachelors. You just can't be that cheap and irresponsible and expect someone to spend time with you.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
