Pet Stuff
Check out the AJC and the article on the 45 lb cat. Imagine that thing jumping on your tummy first thing in the morning.
I read about Palm Beach County, Fl attempting to pass legislation to charge pet owners retrieving lost pets from the county shelter $300 or to get their pet sterilized. What a great idea! Some legislators are saying people can't afford to get their pets neutered. Then they shouldn't have pets. A real problem in Palm Beach is the rich snow-birds who buy pets for the season, then when they go back north, they let them loose. Palm Beach has a problem with wild pack dogs. How selfish.
I have too many cats, and too many of them are sick. I have a friend who's looking for a pet sitter for a few months, and I'm thinking about helping her. What am I thinking?? Her cat is a male, and all mine are females. Everyone is fixed, but the tension would be incredible. I'm not sure it would be a fair thing to do to the 2 sick kitties. And I'm not sure I want ANOTHER litter box to clean. But it is for a few months and it is helping out a friend...

I don't think that cat is going to be doing much jumping! 45 lb!! that is as big as Reuben.
