Where did February go?

My how time flies when you're having fun. Or something.

High Profile Cases
On trial this week is James Sullivan, accused of hiring a hitman to kill his estranged wife and then disappearing for 15 years. I was in Florida when she was murdered, and they were high-profile residents of Palm Beach, so it made the news down there. Let's see, after your wife is murdered by a flower delivery man the day she was filing for divorce, and you are found in Thailand 15 years later. No, he's not guilty.

Hizzoner
Another high profile case is that of Bill Campbell, former mayor of Atlanta. He's accused of taking bribes (among other things). Most of his girlfriends have been on the witness stand for the prosecution but now it's his turn. Andrew Young is scheduled to be a witness today for the defense. As Mr. Young said, most white people think he's guilty, most black people think he's innocent. I think if he's not a complete idiot, he's an extremely bad judge of character. He's letting subordinates sign city contracts with his name? Most of his cast of characters have been convicted of some crime, but he's innocent? If that's true, he should be shut away, for his own protection. I'll bet you his wife, the woman he 'adores' leaves him after the trial. But maybe stupidity runs rampant in that family.

Morning Radio
I'm tired of morning DJ's. I've listened to 'Dave Radio' back when it was WZGC and played classic rock. They've dumped some really good morning DJ's thru the years, and I've still been a loyal listener, but when they brought on Moby, I kinda lost respect for them. I'm done with Barnes and Furfur, the current morning crew. I've even tried to listen to 96Rock with the Regular Guys, but I can't get into much they do. I started listening to 97.1 ('The River'? Where'd that come from?). They don't have DJ's, but they aren't commercial-free anymore. I listen to commercial radio as I like the traffic and news reports, but college radio (Ga State, GaTech, Clark Atlanta) is appealing with their eclectic mix and commercial free format. I also enjoy WRFG's 'Good Morning Blues' show. Great for a rainy morning!

Someone decided that the morning radio demographics are the 18-35 year old male. I don't get off on T&A radio (that's a stretch!) and immature antics. Sometimes they're great, but not everyday. I have plenty of disposable income, so why limit your demographics to 18-35 YO men? It's classic rock, for heavens' sake! Noone in the 18-35 age bracket listens to that!

Kitty Update
Misty is doing OK. She's so skinny (7.5 lbs) but she can still fight with Katrina. I've tried to put the old girls in a separate room, but they don't want to stay there, with the door closed. Misty will hang out on her perch, but if I close the door, she wants out. So at Pill Time, I have to chase, play, coax, pet, and finally pick up and carry into the kitchen to do the deed. April is getting better, but she's up to 2 pills a day now. Misty had a bad time last night, I had to give her a pill AND a dropper full of medicine. She really didn't like me too much, but she did come in a cuddle all night. And then there's Miss Katrina.....

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

I got Sirius Radio at Christmas time, and since then I haven't listened to 'regular' radio. I would rather set my alarm clock to buzz than listen to the juvenile, useless drivel that make up morning shows. Sure the DJs (many of them old MTV VJs at least on the stations I listen to) still speak in the mindless babble that is DJ speak, but it is much, much less than on commercial radio.

When I'm sitting on the connector at rush hour it is the best $12.95 a month I've ever spent.
