Things that go Bump in the night.

I was awake last night about 3am when I heard something outside. It was a sliding sound, followed by a large thump. I thought there had been a bad accident at the major intersection about a mile away. I laid in bed for awhile listening to hear the sirens, but realized it was 3am and I needed to go back to sleep. So I find out this morning that there was a tractor trailer loaded with car batteries that had jacknifed on 285 near the Church St exit about 3am. I didn't think I was that close to the highway that I could hear traffic, but it was cloudy last night and the sound travelled that well.

Back to School
I started a class at Emory last night on managing a Small business. We just covered types of entities (s-corp, LLC, LLP) and he mentioned insurance needs and trademarks, etc. So much to do, so little organization! I will persue this until I decide it's too much or I start my own company. Right now I'm a bit overwhelmed....and excited. One step at a time.

What's happening now?
I didn't get to watch the news last night as I was late for class, and I fell asleep during the 10pm news. So I don't know what's happening. Except that I live in Atlanta and Coretta Scott King passed away yesterday. This will be news fodder for atleast a week. I understand and accept the fact that she was a very important woman, but do we have to review her life, death and trip back to Atlanta every waking moment???!!!

General Beauregard Lee and Friends
Today is Ground Hog's day (not the movie). I saw on TV that Gen. Lee did NOT see his shadow, so we're off to an early Spring. I guess we have to have winter first. Temperatures have been extremely mild this year. No complaints from me! Although we are just begining February, notoriously a bad month, I hope we coast through in the mid-50's.
