Another gorgeous day here in the ATL. The clouds are gone, my head is still plugged up, but not as badly, so I'm in a much better mood. It's just beautiful outside, just enough chill in the air to make it interesting. I've been sleeping with my bedroom windows open and it's been great! Nice and cool with the fresh air. I woke up sometime this morning in a sweat and I realized my kitty had curled up on my shoulder and fallen asleep. She's definately a warm body!
No pain, no gain
I was pretty good about the treadmill last week, but this week hasn't been the same. This head cold/allergy has pretty much kicked my butt. I plan on getting on there tonite. If only the sun didn't set so early, you can bet I'd be outside taking a walk.
Food for Thought
I received an email from an old college buddy via another old college buddy the other day. This girl has made some incredibly stupid decisions, but has perceviered and now she's a grandmother. Yes, one of my friends is a grandmother. Can you say 'I feel old'?
Frivilous lawsuits
What about the girl who's parents are suing the Christian Academy because she was expelled for kissing another girl at a slumber party? This is a private school, so mom, dad and daughter knew the rules. And paid for them. The wording on the agreement says the school has the right to expell a student for 'immoral activity'. The parents are saying this is too vague and the school is infringing on their daughters' privacy. Get over yourselves. You signed the document. The operative word here is 'Christian'. We all pretty much know what the church feels about homosexuality (or sexuality at all, for that matter. But that's another rant) Why is this a suprise to the parents? Why did you choose this school anyway? It's another case of people who feel they are above the rules.
Rules
My sister has a great attitude. She's a stickler for the rules. In her opinion, if society didn't have rules, then anarchy would prevail. That's a very good point. Most rules are made for the benefit of society, and we all agree to follow these rules. Sometimes the rules must change, but they will change for the benefit of society. So follow the rules. I will admit I break the rules selectivly, I drive too fast, but I never park in a handicapped spot or an illegal spot. I do U-turns sometimes instead of driving around the block, but I don't shoplift or kill people. I will also accept responsibility for being caught breaking the rules. If I get caught speeding, I pay the ticket.
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
