Finally, Friday arrived!! The last day of the week, the last working day of the year, etc. The new year is a time to start over, take a fresh look at things and form a plan to make some changes or enhancements. I've got a list, growing by the day. There is a certain sense of accomplishment that comes with crossing off something from the list. This list contains things like : Finish painting the trim in the dining room, get the floors refinished, finish a business plan for my coffeeshop, get out and do more hiking, to name a few. It's nice just to see how things work out in the next year.
New Year's Eve ain't what it used to be..
I got invited to another party last night, so that brings the total to 3 I've been personally invited to and 2 more I just know about and can attend. I just don't get into that any more, too dangerous to be driving. I want to do the Cheddarhead Hash on Sunday, so I don't want to be too hungover. Last year I was home as I had to work at 5:30am on New Years Day, and Dec 1999, I also had to work at 6am to babysit the computer room for a few hours. (Remember the Y2K scare?) One year, I went out with a group of friends to a local restaurant/bar to party. It was packed, we never got close enough to the bar to get a drink, the ladies room had 4 toilets, 3 were flowing over, so there was about 1" of water to wade thru. From there we went to another bar, packed, $10 or more cover, smoke-filled, elbow to elbow, but we saw Francine Reed! From there we went to Shoney's were on of my friends had a meltdown with her boyfriend, called another old boyfriend and got a ride home. So a group of us were sitting at our table having breakfast with this guy after she had gone home. What fun. Frankly, I'd rather stay home, I can get a drink when I want one, can pee in a clean bathroom and don't have to worry about dating drama, no cigarette smoke, no loud music, no one pushing me out of their way.
Happy New Year
I hope Lynn and Marty got lucky last night, you've only got a few nights left....(nudge, nudge, wink, wink).
Happy New Year to everyone, hope whatever you do is what you want to be doing.
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

Wow, you sure do make the bar scene sound tantalizing! ;-) Well, if I don't see you tonight, I will be at Cheddarhead with the proverbial bells on! Happy 2006!
