What's Up?

So last night we had or were real close to a freeze with temperatures running around freezing (duh!) and today it's going to be 68 degrees? WTF?

Laughable
I'm enjoying watching the follies going on in Lithonia and Clayton County. These people aren't setting a very good example for anyone.

The new mayor in Lithonia hasn't even done anything yet (except fire the police chief) and she's feeling threatened by the police department. She came to work, tried to take a desktop computer home and the police 'roughed' her up, she wore a neckbrace for about a day. I can't find out why she fired the police chief or what brought all this on, she hasn't been in office very long. People are getting arrested, city workers are not getting paid, and all anyone can say is 'why can't we put this behind us and move on?' OK, guys, do it. Put it behind you and move on.

And Clayton County, get a grip. The school board needs to take the high road and resign and move on. But they won't. All I can say is folks, you elected these clowns. Thanks for the entertainment.

Job Hunt
SSDD. I did get a call from a recruiter and she's submitting my resume to 2 companies large companies. One location is in Alpharetta, which is in a different world from where I live, and with gas knocking on the door of $4/gallon, it may not work well, but it would be good experience. The other is downtown, next door to where I used to work, so that will be good. They've had a period of unstable employment (corporate offices call it 'Change') but I like the location better. I need to get the interview.

Classes
I know I've mentioned this before, but I will be able to take maybe 2 classes towards my professional certification. I guess it's really a no-brainer, but I want to take the classroom option as I will meet other professionals in my area of interest. The problem is I'll have to wait till June to take the class I want and need here in the Atl, but it is offered in May in DC. I won't meet any locals in that class, but I will meet BA's in DC. (Oooh, alphabet soup!) I'm going to take the class online as I need to know what it's all about. I could also write off this time as 'going back to school'. I hate this.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
