Happy Monday!

The other day I asked 'what day is this?', but today I ask 'What time of year is this?' The high temperature today will be around 50, but Friday it was near 80. Now, mind you, I don't mind a chill in the air, I just wish we had some consistency.

This Week
I'm trying to get a schedule going, it's been very difficult for me to do anything. I have to start getting up early, so I can atleast get going around 9am. So far, that hasn't happened, I've been having trouble sleeping and can't seem to get thru a full night without waking up. I've been working out, and last night that seemed to help a lot, but it was 12:30 before I even went to sleep. I was up at 8-ish today, and that's a full 8 hours, but I still feel tired.

Anyway, yesterday I took the Volunteer Orientation for PAWS and plan on walking dogs at least once a week. I think I'll do better with smaller dogs, but dogs are still not cats. They don't seem to have a lot of kitties, I think they are preparing for kitten season. All ready they're looking for a home to foster a mama kitty and her brand new litter... (hum, food for thought...) and I imagine it will get worse in the next few days.

Wednesday is Toastmasters, which I'm thinking will help me with organization and speaking skills. I was thinking of taking acting classes, but Toastmasters is free. It also works well with networking. I just need to get out of bed and GO.

Pollen
It's getting worse. Today the pollen count was 3350 or in that area. Friday I cleaned off the front porch by blowing the pollen with the leaf blower. (Yes, I closed all the windows and doors and wore a mask!) I haven't been the same since. I've been stuffed up, blowing my nose, and I've been taking OTC Claritin! It's only in the house, which says to me that it's more than just pollen, it's pollen and kitties and dust, so I'm thinking of taking the leaf blower and going thru the house. That should work!

Job Hunt
Talked to all the recruiters last week, notthing for me. It's a matter of just waiting. God, I hate this. I need to get more imaginative and figure out what to do, where I can network and who I need to talk to. Just like last time!
