Gosh, everyone is interested in my theoretical love life... Thanks!
Cute Boys
So the Other Cute Boy is my Co-worker. No, it wasn't a date, and he didn't ask me out. I told him early in the week that some of my friends (Martha) were meeting at the Graveyard for her 'going away' party, and since I know he lives over there and hangs out at the Graveyard, I took the opportunity. He called me early on Thursday AM to tell me to tell the boss he was running late (mine was the only phone number he had for anyone at work. You remember being the New Person. I'm sure he's gotten some other numbers by now.), but he never showed up. So I went home on Thursday, I'd been sick all week and it was cold and rainy, so I was going to have some soup and watch a movie. He calls me at home as asks if I'm still going.
Well ladies, this wasn't much of a delimma, I was tired and had a head cold, it was cold and raining outside, and I had just put on some soup. So I went! We met Martha and some of her co-workers and had a great time. He shoots pool and after awhile asked if I wanted to join him. (I ain't dumb!) We played several games of cutthroat, not keeping score. I used to shoot pool a lot back in college, so I knew what I was doing, and not embarrassingly so. We both ordered several glasses of wine, and at the end of the evening, he paid for all the pool and the wine! BUT, he didn't walk me to my car. At any rate, I was not only suffering from a head cold on Friday, but a touch hung over, too. The things we do for having a crush on someone!
We had discussed the Basset rescue/singles Happy Hour on Saturday, but just in passing. He never mentioned it, and since I had been put on the wait list for the Chili Cookoff, and they called to tell me there was a cancellation, I decided to forego the waiting routine (will he ask me, will he not ask me, should I make other plans??!) and left town. He did go, he'd been recording with a friend from his old hometown and it took longer than he anticipated. So he took the singer and probably shot a bit of pool. If Martha saw him with another woman, it isn't any drama. (Unless they were shooting more than pool on the pool table....)
So the really boring and frustrating story goes on. And you thought it might be exciting.
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

I hate to say it but I don't know if I would have recognized him, I may have been a little tippsy when I met him ;-)
Did I mention that we raised over $2800 (net, after costs) for the two rescue groups.
There will be a "Critter Crawl" sponsered by Sweetwater in April.
Martha - keep me informed on the Critter Crawl? That sounds interesting!
