Out With The Bad

After blubbering on about toxic people, I realized that these people aren't in my life, they are in my mind. I am doing a file purge these next few days to get rid of all unwanted baggage in my brain. I will not read blogs written by narrow-minded people, I will not allow sluts and ho's to populate my thoughts and I will not worry that immature people don't want me around. You choose what you want to be and I can't worry anymore that it's not a good choice, or, yes, it's not MY choice. So blog all you want about small-minded things, sleep with anyone and everyone you can and have your little TV show parties. I'm moving on.

New And Different
By moving on, I have to redefine myself again. I don't have a close support group of friends, I don't have a group of people to 'Hang' with, so I must find one. I'll start hiking more with some groups that I know of, I'll start camping more with the Ski Club and I'll even find something else to do. I need to find a social project that I can embrace, maybe working with the PATH Foundation group, all about building bike routes in Atlanta, or maybe a Zoo volunteer group or something like that.

The Spelling Bee
To all my English Major friends and those who correct my spelling, I don't have spell check on this blog. I've always prided myself on my ability to spell, although admitidly I have problems with the usage of 'affect' and 'effect', but who doesn't ?? So I make a mistake once in awhile, I'm only human, and I'm usually blogging at work (Gasp!) so I don't have time to check thru stuff. I've made some real bloopers (yesterday's excentric vs eccentric. Ouch! Big Sis pointed it out (the retired English Major!) but she also had a beef with me yesterday, so it was taken in good spirit!) Now I'm going to have to get spell check because anyone reading this will happily point out any errors. And to School Marm2, I know who you are...and you're no English teacher.

Things that Make you Go Hhuummm
Two interesting articles in the AJC today: my favorite, Lenoard Pitts wrote this thought provoking piece about terrorism and loss of civil liberties, all in the name of fighting terrorism. Also, in today's AJC, my new favorite, Bob Barr, wrote an interesting piece about the same thing, loss of privacy. Seems we rank right up there with China in privacy invasion. Some people think that if you've got nothing to hide, then there shouldn't be a problem with privacy invasions. That is true, but does the government have the right to invade your privacy for no reason? For any reason? Bring on the Libertarians, please!

Another Change
I mentioned this yesterday, but someone wrote an editorial about this. Since the hiker was killed doing what many people do, that's changed the way lots of people think. You can only be as careful as you can, but for some, hiking in the woods was a great way to enjoy nature, get away from it all and get some exercise. Now, just like riding on the Silver Comet alone, it's gone away. You have to start packing pistols, which for some of us, isn't something we want to do.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

Don't take the spelling error stuff so personal, no one really cares, or at least, I don't.
But hey - I sign my name.....
