Long, cold, snowy Weekend

But warm thoughts in my heart!

Friday
I met my friend at the Graveyard for their Grand Re-Opening. It sucked. I'd been there before and it was fun, a small quartet or live acoustic music, not too loud but pleasant. Now they have a dance floor and a DJ and it was packed and awful. We went to another local establishment and had some drinks. We talked about lots of stuff, about him, and about me. And he listened to what I had to say! And he asked me questions about myself. And he paid. You know what, this is how it SHOULD be. I'm still not sure what his intentions are, but I'm enjoying the 'chase' (at least on my part).

Snow and Movies
It snowed in Atlanta on Saturday! We got all of 1" on the lawn, it didn't stick to the roads. It got down to an amazing 18 degrees Saturday night. I made a vat of spaghetti and watched a movie. I watched Hilary and Jackie on Saturday and The Josephine Baker Story on Sunday, both very good movies, both sorta sad. Hilary and Jackie is about Jacquelin Du Pre, the star cellist of the classical music world in the early 80's. I remember reading something about her back in the day. She was attractive, expressive and immensly talented, and she developed MS. How terribly sad, for such talent to get such a wasting disease so young. The Josephine Baker Story is about a black singer from St Louis in the 1920's and 30's who moved to Paris and became the toast of Europe. When she attempted to perform on Broadway she couldn't even walk thru the lobby of the hotel she was staying in due to all the segregation laws in the US. What a shame.

I took a walk on Saturday, in the snow. It was so nice, it was quiet, and the snow on the branches of the trees was just beautiful! I saw lots of kids and parents out playing in the snow, making snowmen. (I don't walk when it's 70 degrees, I walk when it's 32 and snowing. ?)

I stayed in on Sunday, it was way cold. I got a lot cleaned up, organized and I did some homework on HDTV's. I'll be ready to buy one when I pay off credit cards. Most of the sales are for TV's 40" or larger. I'm thinking a 40" TV would be too big for my living room, but I have a picture on the wall that's 40", so I'm thinking.

News Flash:::
My co-worker just came in and chatted for awhile. He said he had a good time on Friday, and he said it with a smile on his face! Am I reading too much into this?

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

I've been wondering how Friday night went, especially after Martha told me the bar was a cluster f*ck. Glad it went well... and I'm with anonymous, don't over think it. It will drive you nuts.

We enjoyed Graveyard at first, the music wasn't too loud my date and I could hear each other and we hooked up with a dude that had a deal with a waitress so we had plenty of free beer. After awhile the music changed and it got much louder...then the shots started...we ended up at Glenwood...I was keeping an eye open for you but that is the biggest crowd I've seen in any EAV bar.
