I know, that was yesterday, but as I always am, better late than never!
Social Butterfly
I've started up again, I'm having a party next Saturday. So in preparation, I'm cleaning. (what else would I do!!??) Yesterday was supposed to be 'clean the counter' day, which I did, sort of. I atleast piled all the papers together. Today is 'straighten up the living areas', and maybe clean the bedroom' day. I bought a lovely rug that I put in the office, but the final destination will be my bedroom. But, I'll have to take the bed down, vacuum under the bed, put the rug down and put the bed back together, which all sounds easy, but when you're doing it alone, it takes awhile. And I must watch it, I could really hurt myself somehow. (Drop the bed on my toe, catch my fingernails on the frame, you know, stupid, avoidable stuff) The plan is to have the house clean, the landscapers come over and clean the yard and I'll blow the leaves and dust off the front porch and deck next Saturday, and maybe get my toes done. I don't want or need to be stressed. So if you didn't get a notice, and you're reading this, come on over! Email me for directions. The more the merrier.
Day Off
I've got today off, as do most government employees. Only I don't get paid, but that's another story. I went to dinner at a friends house last night and met his partner. (Damn, another one of those he's-so-cute-why-is-he-gay situations.) We had some talpia and broccoli and some salad. I brought the wine, but I was the only one drinking. I didn't feel too uncomfortable, what were THEY going to do? Take Advantage of me??? They had also invited a friend over and he was a Total Gay Drama. Neurotic, hypochondriac in intensive therapy. He's also a talented artist, which explains the drama. Oh, did I mention he's a drag queen, too? Actually, it was lots of fun.
I must away, I'm meeting a friend for breakfast, then I'm off to the malls. I've got coupons. I've lost 12.5 lbs, almost 1/2 way to 1/2 way. So I've got to get some cheap clothes to wear until I lose the next 12.5 lbs. This coming week is casual week, we can wear jeans. As a way to raise money for charities, we have to pay $2/day to wear jeans or $5 for the entire week. It works, it's raising money, not too expensive, and sometimes, to be able to wear jeans it's worth $5.
See ya tomorrow!
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
