Meetings and More Meetings
I love this job! I just seem to go to meetings and proto-type systems. I haven't figured out how to proto-type a system when all the requirements haven't been determined yet, but such is life. I love this exchanging of ideas, it's so much better than coding!
Dieting, who me?
Didn't make it to my meeting last night, I was just too tired. I'll go Saturday, I promise. It wasn't a good week, starting on Sunday with lots of alcohol, and along the week, a going-away luncheon and a team building luncheon. And some cheesecake, mocha cake and ice cream. But I did walk to work 3 days this week. Yesterday it was threatening to rain, so I drove to MARTA and today I have to leave early. I'll report on Monday.
Such Is Life
This is how my life goes. I have to leave early today to meet the landscaping crew that will clean and cover the hill at my house. This is the first time I've hired a professional firm to do anywork for me and I'm excited to see someone else doing the work. However, guess what the weather is like today? It's raining. It's rained all night. North Georgia is in the grips of an Extreme drought, so we haven't had rain all year. The one rainy day is the one day I'm having work done on my lawn. Figures.
Let's Move On
I've watched Larry King a few times this last week. He's had some interesting guests and I've kinda gotten hooked. I have one question for him 'Will ya let the Britteny thing go?' Donald Trump was being interviewed and he asked him about Britt among other 'entertainers'. Why? Larry King interviewed Joel and Victoria Osteen , televangilists from Houston and asked them about Britt. Why? Who cares about that train wreck? And what does she have to do with tevelangilists?? Or Billionaires?
Maybe they are Human Afterall!
Fred Thompson, the Republican from Hollywood, one of the many candidates for President wrote this op-ed piece. This is the second GOP op-ed piece I've found in the Onion, maybe these guys really do have a sense of humor.
Haven't heard much lately from the GOP dissing Hollywood actors getting all political. Wonder why? Could it be that an actor (gasp) is one of the front runners for President? God knows, nothing good ever came out of Hollywood. (that was meant to be sarcastic. Remember Ronald Reagan? Oh, wait, what was I thinking? Actually, RR wasn't bad, he just had some crazy ideas.)
Have a Great Weekend!
More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
