So the Week Starts`

Food Agressive
I took the kitties to the vet yesterday and they all checked out just fine. April and Remy have dropped some weight and Miss Katrina has gained. She's now pushing 13lbs, weighing in at 6.5lbs just 2 years ago. She is a Pig. She's rather pushy and I guess she's pushing the others away from the food. What to do? How can you feed one cat separately from the others and keep her away from their food? Lock her in a bedroom all day and night? That's not fair. She's such an abused kitty.

Some Thoughts
Mitt Romney is the only Republican that has had just one wife. Seems Multiple Marriages are all the rage for the 'Family Values' party. Guess who the other presidential candidate with just one spouse is????

Dekalb County had a hearing today about setting Last Call to 2am instead of 4am. The impetus for this is the fact that several men who've run large clubs in Atlanta have purchased a large empty building in a rather quiet neighborhood. No official word on what they want to build there, but I think that can be guessed. Since Atlanta has closed the bars at 2pm, these men are looking for another late-night spot to open. Even Back In The Day of my clubbing time, I thought 2am was late enough. Nothing good ever happens after 2am. Of course, a lot of high profile politicians, including Vernon Jones, CEO of Dekalb County and candidate for Senate, is leading the fight against an earlier closing. He's saying it's racist. I am so tired of the racist card being played. Dekalb County is 52% black, how can that be racist? Vern says there is no statistical correlation between later hours and higher crime, but come on now. This spot is right off 85 and would be easy entry for anyone coming into Atlanta. What does one do at a large club? Drink water and listen to classical music? It will be loud, crazy, there will be drinking and driving and drugs. I don't care what color you are, that's what happens at a club. So I wouldn't mind if Last Call was moved to 2am.

Walking to the Marta Station in 5 Points this evening, I witnessed a woman using a recessed doorway as the bathroom. What to do with the Homeless? Lot's of them are mentally challenged, but not enough to lock up, besides they don't have the money for that. Our Man Ronnie Regan cut all budgets for mental health care when he was in office. So they roam the streets. You can't round them up, they have the right to be there. There is no answer. And that's a shame.

I used to be involved in a Thursday Night Dinner Party with some interesting people. My friend and I were unceremoniously dumped from the email awhile back and for the life of me I can't figure out why. I cry myself to sleep every 3rd Thursday of the month knowing yet another month has passed and I haven't been invited back. Could it be my breath? My taste in music? The fact I don't watch 'Survivor'? Or could it be the fact that my friend had issues with one of the guys (a 40-something guy who still refers to himself in the diminutive and hasn't had a good day in 20 years) when he called her a c*nt over a hand of Uno? Or maybe it was the fact that I confronted a former 'friend' (a 40-something MBA who prided herself on the intelligent men she dated) about her dating/living with a knuckle-draggin' 20-something neanderthal (who everyone says is nice when he's sober, they just can't remember when that was)? (Oh yeah, Mr Romantic informed her 'I love you, but F*ck You!' when she stiffed him in cards. And it didn't seem to phase her, she slept with him anyway!) I'm really not sure which of these events caused the rift, but I'm hurt to the bone. Kids now days!

Oh, did I type that out loud? I guess I need to double my dose of Happy Pills and get over myself. (PMS is a wonderful thing!)

Sorry, as a Postscript, I honestly bear no ill-will against anyone in this group (except my former 'friend' and I'm working on letting that go, she's not worth the energy) I honestly don't even think of them. This just came up due to some activities I did this weekend, and may not do again anytime soon. It's funny how PMS brings up so many 'important' unimportant things. I may or may not see any of these folks again, and I may or may not care. Such is life, it is what it is.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
