A Rare Friday Morning Post

I'm posting from work this morning, so this will be quick... Right, 1/2 the staff is down the street at a 2-day seminar and the rest are teleworking. Gonna be a short day.

On The Hill
Tonite I'm meeting some friends on 'Nancy's Hill', the hill next to the Park Tavern in Piedmont Park. The weather is Great, nice and cool and low humidity. I've made arrangements to meet some people down there tonite at 7pm, and I'm getting a ride home with a neighbor, but now I'm having second thoughts. What if some of the Bozo's I'm trying to get out of my life show up? Ah well, I guess I'll just ignore them.

Cool Nights
It's FINALLY Blanket time! I had to sleep with the comforter on last night, as well as a few other, light blankets. I didn't have a fan on as I've done for the past few months so I had some trouble falling asleep. But then, there was Miss K, curled up in my arm and Remy asleep on my stomach. It was tough getting up this morning.

Water Rationing
I've heard all this talk about the drought and the water shortage here in Georgia, but I've only heard about water restrictions on watering your lawn. Now I hear the Atlanta Region only has enough water for 121 days and we need to conserve. How did that happen? The big complaint from Atlanta residences is that there are hundreds of new housing developments that can water their newly planted landscapes, but the people already living here can't. And how are we going to supply all these new residents with water if the existing population is having problems? Why are they still handing out building permits? I just want to know how we went from watering your lawn every other day to the threat of water rationing. Shouldn't we have cut out all the watering, car washes, leaking faucets, etc first? From my understanding, Ga doesn't have any natural lakes, they are all man-made. Why hasn't this water supply issue been addressed before? I guess our government just wants to expand the tax base and help developers make money, not take care of existing voters. I just hope we remember that at Election Time.

Ann Coulter, Hollywood and the GOP
Ann Coulter ran her mouth again. Why doesn't this woman just shut up? And why do people give her any attention?

My Rapid GOP friend rants and raves about how Hollywood shouldn't have anything to say about politics and just shut up. What about Fred Thompson, the GOP's Best and Brightest presidential candidate? Isn't he from Hollywood? And how about the Greatest Actor (Not) ever, Ronald Regan? Another example of misplaced GOP reasoning. (The Dems do it too, just not quite as overtly.)

Have a Good Weekend!

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
