At our 'Team Building' luncheon today, it was announced that the lead Analyst who's been there 3 years will be leaving on Friday. I'm sad to see her go, I would have liked to have worked with her a bit more, but it is what it is. Hopefully this means I'll get more to do! I don't know if it's the state of all the projects or if she's just that much of a control freak, but I've not had much to do since I've started, except go to meetings. But that seems to be the regular activity, go to a meeting. Keep your fingers crossed!
Things that make you go What?
My office mate started one week after I did. So far, she's gone to lunch with her recruiter and to a networking thing. I haven't even heard from my recruiter. I sent her an email asking about my direct deposit and it took her 24 hours to get back to me. Somehow, I'm not suprised. I can put up with anything for a year.
Men In Skirts
This weekend is the Stone Mountain Highland Games. I've been a few times, always had fun. I love the colors from all the tartans, all the pipers and fiddlers and trinkets. One year I went with my friend who is a Frasier and we got to party with the Frasers. Great fun. Something about a man in a skirt....
Gotta go watch my new favorite TV Show, 'Hotel Babylon'. You get sucked in, what can I say?
