I've seen several interviews with Genarlow Wilson today, and he seems focused, determined and ready to go. I hope he sticks to his guns and leaves Ga to go to school.

I've seen a trailer for the Nancy Grace show tonite and the opening blurb is about toddlers doing cocaine: Are the parents to blame? Are the parents to blame?? Where do they think these kids go to get their blow? As my officemate says "Just because you can have babies doesn't mean you should."

7 college students died this weekend at a beach house in NC. That's such a sad story. Whatever the reason for the fire, it's a shame and a great loss.

I read about a man who was arrested for filming sex acts with children and then acts by him on his dog. Ewwwwww!

In the AJC today, there was an editoral on the Dream Act that Republicans in the Senate just defeated. This act would have created a path to citizenship for CHILDREN that are brought into the country illegally by their parents. It would have set conditions for these kids, such as at least 2 years in college or the military and then they would have been eligible for citizenship. Instead of encouraging education and civil service, they encourage undocumented day laborers and possibly gang membership. Good planning for the future. When are these guys going to get their heads out of the sand and do something? 'Illegal is bad for the country and is wrecking havoc on our ideals' they say to kids who did nothing wrong, it was their parents. But these old men can't seem to think beyond getting re-elected for another do-nothing term.

Decriminalize marijuana possession. Our prisons are filled with people who've done nothing more than to possess a small amount of pot. Most criminals don't serve their sentence, they are let out before their term is up, to make room for more criminals. Who is hurt in a possession case? (Just as who is hurt when a teenager gets a blow job from his girlfriend? but that's another discussion for another time).

Victor Hill in Clayton County has done lost of questionable stuff, but he does seem to be attempting to clean up the county. His recent activity has been to enforce the building codes in a less than safe neighborhood. He's netted lots of criminals. You go, guy!
