A Short Week, already.

A short week always follows a long weekend. Yeah!

Decatur Book Fest
I met my friends Marty and Lynne at the Decatur Book Festival on Saturday. It was interesting, I've never been before. I was looking for more arts and crafts, but that's not what this was about. It was fun, probably won't go back.

While In Decatur
I went to Eddie's Attic to see if I could get some tickets. It's that time again, Al Stewart will be performing there on Sept 26th. He did 'Year of the Cat' way back in the 70's. I've seen him in concert 3 times and he's fabulous! He's funny, intelligent, and is just having fun. He's a history buff and a great storyteller and writes lots of songs based on historical stories. Well worth the money. If you want to go, just let me know, I'm buying my ticket tonite!

Sunday Brunch
On Sunday I went to my friend's LeighAnne and met Sonya and Barbara there. We had mimosa's, mud slides, wine and more wine. We got there at noon, left at 6pm. I went over to LA's boyfriend's house and had more wine and dinner and got home about midnight. I'm too old for that. We had a blast! Took me a while to get over it.

Monday
Monday was Labor Day, so to speak. I weeded the garden, mowed the lawn (OK, sort of) and did laundry. It was reallly a good day.

Commuting
Today I did something I haven't done since 1984, I rode the bus. I took the bus to the MARTA station, then took the train to work. Interesting. Coming home was different, I had to wait for a bit at the MARTA station for the bus, and it was hot with no shade. That sucked. But I was so much more relaxed when I got to work! It was amazing. I think I'll do it again!

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

I've taken the bus (actually two buses) to work a few times...riding my bike is faster.

I wish we had better public transportation here. I would love to get out of the car more often. At least I have my black sheep car pool to make me feel I'm doing a little something.
