Moving On

Thanks for all the reassuring comments these last few days. I'm getting over it, I'm still really pissed. I'm waiting to hear from the interview I had on Tuesday, but showed up for on Monday. Hey, it could still happen! And somehow, Eeyore became the star of the blog...

Just Stuff
I've not heard any thing more about Karl Rove quitting from either side. I guess we've all had enough of him.

I read today that Newt Gingrich blasted Bush for taking a vacation. Did he say he was running for President??

Leonard Pitts does it again. I really like this guy! Read the one on Michael Vick.

Even Cynthia Tucker is over the SCLC. Let's move on.

Here's a Thought!
I started reading a book about a Russian noblewoman during the reign of Alexander II. They mentioned all the political unrest in Europe at the time, with anarchists, nihilists, democracy, socialists, etc, writing books and pamphlets and causing trouble. Maybe that's what we need now, someone to stir things up. The political system in the US, as it exists today, is in Big Trouble. The elected 'leaders' aren't really leaders, they follow the Almighty Dollar. It's all about raising money, spending money, and getting votes. Not sure of any other way to do it, but maybe a good dose of anarchy would do us some good. Oh, wait, that's what we have, maybe we should try a good dose of democracy, pure and simple. That means that elected officials are working FOR the people, not special interest groups or themselves or re-election. That means that EVERYONE, including those you don't like, get treated the same. That means listening to the opposition and COMPROMISING on important topics. But I guess we all can dream.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
