I said I wasn't mentioning anything about the job hunt until something happened.... So here we go:
Phone Interviews
The procedure currently in the hiring arena evidently is to carefully screen the candidate, then let the client do some more screening. So I've had 2 phone interviews with a recruiting agency here in Atlanta and I'm doing a phone interview with the last person today. Then they will present me to the client and I may or may not get an interview. This company is located in downtown Atlanta.
I've had 2 phone interviews with a recruiter based in Pittsburgh and I'm talking to the 3rd person in DC today. This is the most activity and interest I've had in almost 2 years. BTW, the grocery store called and they want me to work a few days this week to cover the managers butt. So I'm in demand. Keep your fingers crossed.
MySpace
I've started working on MySpace page. As soon as I get some more done, I'll invite y'all to be my friends. I've already found an old friend online, she requested to be my friend. I knew this girl from college, and kept in touch with her sporadically thru the years. She's in Indiana and now has a 5-year-old grandson. My how time files.
Anyway, I'm trying to be hip and edgy with this MySpace page, just like all the kids. I need to get some music and video online and be Cool. I'm a bit scared, with all the news reports of all these predators online, one would think any person over college age with a MySpace page has ulterior motives. If I get a call from DateLine, I'm sure I won't answer it!
Lets Talk Boring, Slow Detailed Work
Just like I used to get paid to do! I've picked up a new hobby, chainmaille jewelry. Oh my gawd, what a mess. Definately need a magnifying glass and some good light. So far, I've made a bracelet using the Box Chain and some earrings with the Byzantine Chain. Nice looking stuff, you can buy all types of metal rings to use (copper tone, gold tone and silver tone, as well as colors) and can create all sorts of stuff. Doesn't everyone need a ChainMaille suit? And maybe even Adult Toys....
