Crisis Averted

From all sources, (my Mom and my sister, Becky) seems dad got his pacemaker and is feeling better already. He will be home today or tomorrow and will be on limited activity until the stitches are out.

Becky said she almost called me on Saturday and tell me to get up there, when she visited Daddy, he looked ashen and very ill. But during their visit, he became visibly better, so she didn't call.

My question is, why didn't they discover this earlier?? He was in the hospital before and was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat, but nothing else was done. He's been in physical therapy for awhile to get him to adjust to his dizziness they thought was caused by a small tumor in his brain. Didn't anyone take his pulse?? Listen to his heart?? I can't blame it all on the doctors, someone may have said something to my mom and she just forgot. She has problems like that. She is also very timid, and will not ask many questions and gets flustered easily. So I guess we kids will have to start managing their health care.

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'

Yes, after dad was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and mom's breast cancer returned, I returned home. 4 weeks ago my mother had a quadruple bypass and is doing extremely well. I guess my move was a good decision. I came back without a permanent job in place. Sometimes in order to heal yourself you have to resolve conflicts and help others heal in the process.
