Gosh, What a lovely day!

I think I have Spring Fever. It is so pretty outside, and the flowers are blooming, the pollen was 1000+ yesterday. I can't wait for the yellow stuff to start blowing around!

Florida Keys, Here I come!
I just found out my friend Margaret will be working in Homestead, FL for the next month or so. We're already planning a trip to the Keys. I haven't been there in quite a few years and I'm sure it's changed a lot, but I LOVE the Keys. Just sitting by the water, watching the boats, maybe drinking a Rum Runner or some other adult beverage. Snorkeling, diving, swimming, boating, walking the beach, just looking.

Calling AT&T
Didn't they find AT&T guilty of a monopoly a few years back and divest them of most of their interests? Well, they're back again. Offering Local and Long Distance phone services, they also have cell phone and high-speed internet connections, not to mention a tie-in with cable TV. They purchased Bellsouth, which was created as a result of the divestiture in the 1980's. So everything that's old is new again.

I'm thinking I could get a better deal with them than with MCI, Comcast and Cingular. The big thing in the telecommunications industry anymore is 'bundling', where they offer you two or more services at a 'discounted' rate. I'm a customer of Comcast but don't care for the high prices they are charging, the only other option is AT&T. I will have to drop my cable-TV, but that only means I won't be sitting on my butt watching junk on TV. I'll report back on what happens.

I don't want to sit inside anymore! I guess I'll walk up to the polling place and vote for the SPLOST in Dekalb county.
