Another Lovely Day on the Old Homestead

Today is Yard Day, I'm going outside to butcher some plants and generally clean up the winter yard. I have someplace to be around dinner time, so I have a limited amount of time to work. And it's probably a good thing, I don't want to hurt myself too much.

Job Hunt
OK, it's official, when it Rains it Pours. I've got my resume in the hands of 2 companies, possibly 3. Yea me. Now it's the waiting and nagging game: If I don't hear from the HeadHunters, I call them. And call them, and call them.... God, I love looking for a job!

Oops!
In my Daily Confusion that is my life, I received an letter marked 'Important Dated Information' from the DDS (Department of Driver Services). In my arrogance and just general apathy, I filed it in the "Look At Later" box, assuming it was all about renewing my tags and paying the government for the privilidge of driving on their roads. I opened it a few days ago, and guess what? My Drivers License had expired. Oops! So I got on their website to and proceeded to renew my license. At the top of the home page, there is a message warning all users that the office is open Tuesday - Saturday, but that Tuesdays are usually pretty busy, even online. I took note of this and went on. I got a few pages into the process and I got a mess to try later. So I did. I then got a message that the State was doing a software upgrade and I would have to come back later. Evidently, this was an old message as even the government wouldn't be stupid enough to install a new software package on their busiest day, would they? So all is well, I did finish the process, they took my money and I'm licensed to drive. No testing, no picture, nothing, just sending me a Driver's license with a new expiry date. I feel so safe driving in the state.

Cooking Wench
This week is not chicken as one commentator asked, this week is tilapia: Tilapia with Lemon Butter Sauce and Angel Hair Fresca. Yummy! Tomorrow I will go in and start cooking, provided all the departments have ordered their items. As I tell the manager, I can't cook what I don't have in stock. Why can't people just do their jobs?

Face The Truth
Anna Nicole Smith is just going to rot in the Broward County morgue. As rich and attractive as she was, this is just proving that money doesn't buy everything. Evidently no one ever loved her for herself, only for what she had, except maybe her son, but he's already gone. That poor baby, what is left for her? Maybe that Larry guy really is her father, he may be the best one to raise her, he's at least shown some sadness. I know mom is crying, but look what a mess she made of Anna. And is she crying because Anna is gone, or is she crying thinking of all the facelifts, tummy tucks, gastric bypasses and boob jobs that could slip through her fingers? Ah, a mother's love....

More to come...
As things happen, I'll be posting. Thanks for taking the time to read. You're opinions are welcome but if you have to start calling me names, don't bother, I won't read them. As my Dad says 'Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.'
