I have to figure out this motivation thing, I need to keep it consistent.

Job Hunt
I went to a Networking group yesterday morning and I found it quite helpful. Lots of enthusiasm, new ideas, places to go and how to get people to talk to you. To borrow a quote that was used yesterday, 'It's not who you know, but who knows you.' So I must market myself. I should have been doing this all along, but some things you have to learn on your own.

New Music, New Obsession
I love to get new music and just wear the CD out. I bought 2 new CD's the other day, one is a band I'm familar with and the other is a new 'discovery'. A few weeks ago, on a Saturday night, I was surfing channels and I came across 'Austin City Limits' which features all types of music, some old, some new. The singer being featured was Juanes, and I was very impressed! His music is rock, pop-y kinda stuff, but his singing voice is strong and he's got lots of energy. Doesn't hurt that he's good-looking, too! He's from Columbia (no, not South Carolina, South America) and doesn't sing in English, but that's OK. I need to learn some Spanish anyway. I like Latin music, and his has a very latin flavor, but very rock'n'roll. Check it out!

The other band is an established Progressive Rock band from th UK, IQ. This is the 3rd CD I've gotten of theirs and so far I love it! My friend Margaret has referred to the lead singer as sounding like Geddy Lee of Rush, but I beg to differ. Peter Nichols' voice is fuller, stronger and a larger range. As much as I like the sound of Geddy Lee, he isn't what I would call a 'good' singer. I just love the sound of Prog Rock, some would say 'over-produced' but a full sound, and lots of interesting key changes and time signatures. Gosh, that sounds kinda geeky, huh?

Motivation
We've already lost one of the other girls I started with, she went to lunch last week and never came back. Don't know the reason, I know she asked the manager if she could become fulltime and he told her not yet. I know she just moved into a new apartment with her boyfriend and baby. She's young and I hope she's got her head on straight. Oh well.
